Using this website, operated by the AMBER Lab headed by Prof. Dror L. Angel at the University of Haifa, means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The content here describes ongoing academic research and its results. Science moves: findings, interpretations and recommendations may change as new work is published. Content is provided “as is” for information and education only.

Information about jellyfish stings, beach safety, water quality or health is not medical, legal or professional advice, and does not replace a qualified professional or the guidance of the Ministry of Health and beach authorities.

Where a summary on this site differs from the original scientific paper, the peer-reviewed publication prevails.

The text, design, structure, graphics and code of this site belong to the AMBER Lab, its members and the University of Haifa, and are protected by the Israeli Copyright Act 5768-2007 and international treaties.

You may quote short extracts and link to pages for teaching, journalism and research, provided you give full credit — “AMBER Lab, University of Haifa” — with a link to the original page. Extensive reproduction, full translation, mirroring or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

• All photographs, field videos, microscope images and illustrations on this site were taken or produced by lab members, collaborators, or photographers who granted us permission. Rights remain with the photographer and the lab.
• Where a photographer or credit line appears in the caption, it must be preserved in any reuse.
• Reusing an image, even without payment, requires a request in advance. We do not grant a blanket Creative Commons licence for images on this site unless stated next to a specific item.
• Photographs from educational activities and public events show participants who consented. A request to remove an image will be reviewed and handled promptly.
• Project and institutional logos (for example University of Haifa, the Recanati Institute, TRANSEATION, GoJelly, Iliad, OTTERS, Rewind) are the trademarks of their owners and are shown only to identify collaborations.

The publications list is a bibliography provided for readers' convenience. Copyright in the articles belongs to the authors and publishers, and DOI links point to the publisher's version of record. We do not host copies of articles that may not be redistributed.

When citing the lab's work, cite the full bibliographic record in the journal, not the summary on this site.

Team members' names, affiliations, research areas and academic email addresses are published in the context of their public professional roles. They are provided for research, academic and media enquiries only.

Harvesting contact details from this site for mailing, marketing, recruitment or automated outreach is prohibited, as is adding lab members to mailing lists without their explicit consent.

Press mentions link to articles published by external media outlets. Rights in those articles and their images remain with the outlets; we present a headline, a short summary and a link to the source.

• Do not disrupt the site, bypass security measures or place abnormal load on it.
• No large-scale automated scraping, duplication of the publications database or systematic downloading of media files.
• Do not present the content as your own, alter findings, or quote it misleadingly.
